About Us

We are Charlotte and Ben Hodson, in 2024 we took over Skillington Farms for Charlotte’s parents Stan and Laura Skillington, after 30 wonderful years!

What started in 1999 as a small family farm raising grass-fed beef and pasture raised chicken in Lebanon, Indiana, quickly grew into something much bigger. Stan’s passion for quality food led to handcrafted breakfast sausage, fresh farm eggs, and famous Swiss Honey Bread. Today, those same ingredients come together in the breakfast sandwiches so many of you know and love at farmers markets across Central Indiana.

In 2009, another Skillington Farms tradition began when Stan and Laura started making frozen, homemade pies as a fundraiser for the Lebanon High School wrestling team. What began as a simple local fundraiser quickly became an annual favorite, with families returning year after year and schools, sports teams, and organizations throughout the community using the pies to support their programs. Although this part of the farm took a break in 2020, the recipes never changed. Today, we are excited to bring the pies back using the same beloved family recipes and the same commitment to quality that made them a favorite all those years ago.

We are are honored to carry on the tradition of serving the Indianapolis community with the same recipes, the same care, and the same dedication that made Skillington Farms a local favorite.

Whether you’ve been stopping by our booth for years, remember our pies from years ago, or are discovering us for the first time, thank you for supporting a local family farm and helping us continue this incredible legacy.
